Overview of Classes
We offer classes in art, dance, drama, and music for preschoolers through adults. Our year-long classes run from September to May. Our semester classes run from September to December and from January to May. We also offer some once a month art seminar classes for teens and adults. If you are interested in a class and you have missed the start date, please contact us to see if the class is still accepting new registrations.
~Saturday full-year classes will begin on Sept. 8 or 15 and end by May 11th. There will be no classes on Oct. 6 for Thanksgiving weekend or on Dec. 22 or 29 for Christmas Break. There will also be no classes on March 30th for Spring Break or on April 20th for Easter weekend. The Year-End Showcase will be on May 7th with a mandatory rehearsal on May 6th.
~Tuesday full year classes will begin on Sept. 11 or 25 and end by May 14th. There will be no classes on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1 for Christmas Break. There will also be no classes on March 26th for Spring Break or April 23rd for Easter weekend.
~Fall Semester only classes will begin Sept 8, 11, 15 or 25th and will end by December 18, 2018. (Please note applicable holidays above.)
~Winter/Spring Semester only classes will begin on January 5, 7, or 8th and will end by May 14, 2019. (Please note applicable holidays above.)
~All of our classes will be held at Westview Baptist Church.
~Our year-end showcase will be on May 7th with a mandatory rehearsal on May 6th. (Participation in the showcase will be by invitation. Students with excessive absences from class will not be able to participate. In addition to the year-end showcase, some of our students will have the opportunity to participate in our Christmas concerts at the end of the fall semester. Information about these concerts and rehearsals will be sent out no less than a month before.)
~All classes will conclude by May 14th, the week following our Year-End Showcase on May 7th.
~There will be opportunities for parents to observe student progress at various times throughout the year through the invitation of individual instructors, and/or during our year-end showcase on May 7th.
~The final classes on May 11th, 13th, or 14th will be an opportunity for students to collect all of their work, supplies, and progress reports, and to also debrief with the instructor on the year and the showcase. It will also be an opportunity for class photos and for parents to fill out an evaluation.

Please note: Enrolment is not final and participation in our classes cannot commence until payment has been received in full or a payment plan has been established, as well as a signed copy of our enrolment policies has been submitted.
~Westview Arts Academy reserves the right to reschedule, cancel, or combine classes should registration be insufficient.

~Class fees listed on our website are calculated based on the length of the class, the potential size of the class (private, semi-private, group), and the supplies needed for the class or production(s). Year-long classes are offered at a discounted rate.
~Missed classes are non-refundable when missed by a student. If an instructor cannot be available for any class, a substitute will be brought in or the instructor will make arrangements for a make-up class on a future date.
~Excessive absences from class may result in the student not being permitted to participate in the year-end showcase.
~Returned cheques or declined credit cards will be assessed a service charge of $25.00.
Full Year Student Withdrawal Policy:
The initial deposit fee (costume fee(s) + registration fee + gst) is non-refundable.
The first month’s tuition is also non-refundable.
Withdrawals require one calendar month’s written notice and must be received prior to the first day of the month. Your final balance will be calculated be pro-rating classes (based on full, non-discounted rates) to the end of the one month notice period. Any fees submitted to cover classes after the one month notice period will be returned.
There are no refunds after January 31st, 2018.
Semester Student Withdrawal Policy:
Withdrawals require two weeks written notice prior to the start of the program. If adequate notice is provided prior to the start of the program, the fees will be refunded apart from a $25.00 administration fee.
